The E39 and E38 with the M62 engine can have issues with the timing chain guides.  The plastic on the guides that the chain runs on, becomes brittle with age.  In the case of the vehicle in these pictures, the plastic on the upper guide was completely gone when we got it apart.  You can see the difference between the old and new guide.  Also if you look closely you see the chain resting on the guide with no plastic at all.  This can cause serious noise issues, and if not attended to, can also be detrimental to the engine.

We recently started performing Carbon or Walnut Blasting.  This is a process used on Direct Injected vehicles to clean the carbon build up off of the intake valves.  Carbon build up can lead to rough idle, misfire and poor performance issues.  This customer commented that his vehicle felt as it did when it was brand new.  ImageImageImage
